New Corporate Website Review
For Wes, Cale & Kelly — A walkthrough of everything built into the new DRAW Enterprises website. Please review with fresh eyes and share your feedback, change requests, and suggestions.
Three Sets of Fresh Eyes Needed
I'm asking each of you to go through every page of this site carefully. Look at it from the perspective of a potential customer, a potential employee, and a utility company project manager. Note anything that feels off — wording, photos, missing info, layout, or things you'd like added or changed. This site will be continuously improved over time, so nothing is final. Your input now helps us launch with the strongest possible first impression.

The DRAW AI Assistant
A custom-trained AI chatbot that lives on every page — look for the chat icon in the bottom-right corner.
DRAW AI Assistant
A custom-trained AI chatbot available on every page of the site (bottom-right corner). Named "DRAW AI," it answers questions about services, capabilities, history, leadership, careers, and more.
What DRAW AI Knows & Can Do
- Trained with comprehensive knowledge of all 3 service divisions — with deep technical detail on utility substation work, commercial hardscaping specs, and residential services
- Knows the full leadership team, their roles, and how to direct inquiries
- Understands DRAW's history, credentials, service areas, and differentiators
- Responds with a professional, warm, and courteous tone — never pushy or salesy
- Directs visitors to the Contact page or careers@DrawEnterprises.com as appropriate
- Handles follow-up questions with conversation memory
- Displays suggested questions for first-time users
- The knowledge base can be expanded over time — add new project types, services, or FAQs
Search Engine Optimization
The site has been built from the ground up with SEO best practices to help DRAW rank higher on Google and get found by the right customers.
Descriptive Alt Text on Every Image
Every single image across the site — hero banners, team photos, project photos, service images, and leadership headshots — has been given a custom, descriptive alt text tag. This is one of the most important and most overlooked parts of SEO.
Why Alt Text Matters for SEO
- Google can't "see" images — it relies on alt text to understand what an image shows and index it properly
- Descriptive alt text helps DRAW's images appear in Google Image Search results, driving additional traffic
- Alt text containing relevant keywords (e.g. "DRAW Enterprises brick paver commercial installation Charlotte NC") reinforces the page's topic for search engines
- It improves accessibility for visually impaired visitors using screen readers, which Google also rewards with better rankings
- Pages with proper alt text are scored higher in Google's Core Web Vitals and accessibility audits
Custom Page Titles & Meta Descriptions
Every page on the site has a unique, keyword-rich page title and meta description. These are the first things people see when DRAW appears in Google search results — they act as the "headline" and "preview" that convince someone to click.
Examples of What's Been Set
- Home: "DRAW Enterprises | Utility, Commercial & Residential Construction | Charlotte NC"
- Utility: "Utility Substation Construction | Civil Work & Foundations | DRAW Enterprises"
- Commercial: "Commercial Hardscaping, Concrete & Site Development | DRAW Enterprises"
- Careers: "Construction Careers | CDL Trucking & Field Jobs | DRAW Enterprises Charlotte NC"
- Gallery: "Project Gallery | Construction Photos & Completed Work | DRAW Enterprises"

A Note on the Utility Construction Images
Heads up for your review — please read before reviewing the Utility page
The images used on the Utility Construction page were generated using AI. After an extensive search through Getty Images, stock photo libraries, and other sources, there were essentially no royalty-free images available that accurately depict the specific type of utility substation civil work that DRAW does — foundation pours, below-grade duct banks, oil containment systems, substation grading, etc. It's a very niche area of construction that simply isn't well-represented in stock photography.
Rather than using unrelated or inaccurate photos, I used AI to generate realistic images that represent the types of work described on the page. These are meant as placeholders and visual representations — not actual DRAW project photos.
What I Need From You
- Review the AI-generated images and let me know if any of them feel like they're showing too much, too little, or something inaccurate about the work
- If you have real DRAW project photos from utility jobs, those would be ideal replacements — just send them over and I'll swap them in
- I can adjust, regenerate, or replace any of the images based on your feedback — just let me know what feels right and what doesn't
- The goal is to visually represent the scope of work accurately without misrepresenting DRAW's capabilities or showing anything that shouldn't be public
- Long term, as the team captures real photos from utility projects, we can gradually replace the AI images with actual DRAW work
What's Coming After Launch
The site will be continuously worked on and improved. Here's what's planned next.
Blog / News Section
Once the site is live, we can add a blog/news section for company updates, project spotlights, industry insights, and hiring announcements. This will help with SEO and keep the site fresh.
- Project completion spotlights with photos
- Company news and milestones
- Industry insights and thought leadership
- Hiring announcements and team updates
- SEO benefits — fresh content helps search rankings
DRAW Bid Generator — In Progress
The DRAW Bid Generator is being built as a separate internal application on its own subdomain. Development is actively underway with features already live and more ready to build.
Live Now — Ready to Use
- Flexible Price Management — across-the-board percentage adjustments and individual item price updates are live
- Dynamic Service Type Management — add, edit, or deactivate service categories (Unit Pavers, Retaining Walls, Concrete Flatwork, etc.) without any coding. Athletic Fields removed as requested.
Ready to Build — Need Your Input
- Distance-Based Pricing Zones — automatic surcharges based on project distance from Wilkinson Ave. office (e.g. 0-25 mi no surcharge, 25-50 mi +X%, etc.). Need your input on zone percentages.
- Volume-Based Discounts — automatic discounts for larger projects based on sq ft or linear ft. Need your input on discount tiers and whether they apply to materials only or materials + labor.
- Automatic Retaining Wall Embedment — auto-calculates embedment costs based on wall height. Need block specs, material cost, and labor cost per inch of embedment from you.
- Thumbnail Images for Pricing Items — visual references for each item in the pricing library. Need product/material photos from you (JPG/PNG, 400x400px min).
Next Steps
John will receive a user invite to update product names, service categories, and pricing directly. Cale, John, and Conrad — please send over zone percentages, discount tiers, embedment specs, and product images so we can build out the remaining features.
